MEL-ROL Waterproofing System

The MEL-ROL Waterproofing System is a flexible, versatile, reliable, bituminous waterproofing membrane in a roll. It is a 60 mil membrane consisting of a nominal 56 mil polymeric waterproofing membrane layer on a durable four mil cross laminated polyethylene carrier wave. Both components are laminated together using carefully controlled manufacturing procedures.
A handy lap line is printed 63.5 mm (2.5 in) from the edge of the material on each side to ensure proper overlap coverage and to help maintain a straight line during application. Specially exposed polymeric membrane strips are placed on both sides to provide positive membrane to membrane adhesion in the overlap area. The membrane strips are protected by a release strip. All components of the MEL-ROL Waterproofing System work together to provide a cost effective waterproofing system that is quick and easy to apply.
Additional products included in the MEL-ROL waterproofing system are: BEM, MEL-ROL LIQUID MEMBRANE, MEL-PRIME adhesive (solvent and water based), filler, POINTING MASTIC, DETAIL STRIP, CATALYTIC BONDING ASPHALT, TERMINATION BAR, PROTECTION COURSE and MEL-DRAIN drainage board.

Applications:
The MEL-ROL waterproofing system is an economical way to properly waterproof foundations, vertical walls and floors below ground level in residential and commercial construction. It is equally effective for use on terrace slabs, parking slabs and structural slabs. For use as a waterproofing membrane to isolate technical and electronic rooms, laboratories, kitchens and bathrooms. MEL-ROL provides the right protection for securing large public transport, automotive, media and pedestrian tunnel projects. MEL-ROL can also be used on precast concrete (ICF). MEL-ROL can be applied to concrete, masonry, wood, insulated wall systems and metal. The installation of W. R. MEADOWS PROTECTION COURSE is recommended prior to backfilling. MEL-ROL can also be used with drainage boards where specified.
